Last Monday, we were invited to an exclusive post-Gamescom preview of all of Namco Bandai’s upcoming lineup. Without the pressure of timed demos in the convention centre, we sat down for a more relaxed playthrough of some of this year’s most anticipated titles.

Read on for our thoughts.

Sigh… another anime game. Another anime fighting game? I thought Dragonball had the market wrapped up and Namco was eating its own lunch here.

However, despite knowing nothing about this going into it, My Hero No One’s Justice turned out to be a brawler/ fighting game with an interesting, 3D open plane of play.

The environments were also really destructible, surprisingly so. I chased my foe over to a cliff, and then accidentally destroyed said cliff, burying him temporarily under a huge pile of rubble. Amusing stuff.

You also have Sidekicks that help you out with special moves – but these aren’t a complete swap-in/ swap-out system in like Marvel vs Capcom or other equivalent fighters. There were plenty of interesting moves, most of which are of course completely over-the-top and very anime!

My Hero was a lot of fun and I was surprised by how easy it was to pick up and how interesting it was to have freedom of movement.

Even having no idea who the characters are, this might be one to watch.

Sorry, due to massive glare, it was impossible to grab decent screenshots from the screens.
