HITMAN 3 Review

If you love stealth games .... HITMAN 3 is just a game made especially for you.

If you ask yourself, you can rest assured: Hitman 3 is up to the task . And, in fact, it is a serious candidate to become the best of the trilogy, since some of its levels are made with tremendous love; Throughout the game we experience moments taken from the best spy or mystery movies.

The level based on Dartmoor comes to mind , where we have to finish with the marked objective, but along the way we can disguise ourselves as a private detective. There has been a death in the home and we have to question the family members or witnesses: they are all suspects, including, of course, the butler. To do this, we must explore the house in search of clues to determine who to frame ; at times every second our objective and we forget almost completely, just to solve the mystery. We talk with all the members of the household – and we will want to carry us all – when truly, the danger is us and nobody knows it.

As in previous games, Hitman 3 is about being cold-blooded . There are times when our goals are presented to us in front of our noses. The easy thing would be to pull the trigger and turn the game into just any Call of Duty . But this is about elegance. Of subtlety. The true essence lies in ending our goal without anyone noticing what happened.

To do this, we must wait for the right moment, which will be generated based on our decisions, actions and the exploration of the terrain. The revelations of opportunity are still present, which will begin in small subplots in which we are given particular ways of ending the entrusted objectives. It is true that there are some quite surreal situations due to their context and execution, never better said. Although they put the note of humor.

The truth is that the game does not invent anything that we have not seen in previous iterations; but it does not need it either. The continuity line is always dangerous and, although there are no truly remarkable new actions or objects, exhaustion is not appreciated as could happen to any other game with three deliveries in five years.

Depending on how purist you are, you can complete the game in about 10 or 12 hours. At least the first pass. But, as in the previous ones, you will be left with the feeling of only having scratched the surface . It is enough to review the list of challenges to verify that there are numerous ways to proceed in each mission to fulfill the task.

This will make you relive each trip from different perspectives, each time unlocking new options or weapons. Or by putting yourself to the test in the three levels of difficulty. In addition, there is also the option to transfer the data of the previous games and revisit them. If it serves as a guide, at the end of Hitman 3 I have started the first installment again: I really wanted more.

Presentation:

You also have to take a look at the technical section, which does show a qualitative leap. We have reviewed Hitman 3 on the PS5 version , enjoying 4K resolution , stable 60 frames per second, and HDR support .

The Glacier engine delights and shines in its execution, both in modeling, as well as in textures and stability. The evolutionary leap is appreciated and that we are only before the first steps.

Some levels, such as China , are visually spectacular due to the reflections of its neon-filled buildings. Others, like the one in Dubai or the one in Mendoza , are capable of having up to 300 NPCs at the same time in one location; and they are not repeated faces. Where other releases have been technically chaos, IO Interactive has done a just perfect job.

In the case of Sony’s PS5, the difference is predictably the use of Dualsense: the haptic feedback returns a timid vibration during the melee and in strangulations, while the adaptive triggers show a different resistance according to the weapons. challenged.Nothing that significantly changes the sensory approach to experience , especially considering how little firearms should be used, but overall it figures as a somewhat dignified implementation.

Conclusion:

Hitman 3 puts the perfect finishing touch on the trilogy, offering more and better, with one of the best stealth proposals of recent years. Agent 47 is taking the throne of this type of adventure before the absence of Solid Snake and Sam Fisher. The King in Disguise will take a break, at least for a while. And his latest assignments couldn’t have left a better taste in our mouths. Well done, Agent 47.
